Our story
When our co-founder Aimen was looking for her wedding makeup artist, she wasn’t asking who had the best-performing Reel. She was asking: who is right for me, and can I trust the booking?
Getting that answer meant hours of scrolling Instagram, sending cold DMs, and waiting to hear back. Prices weren’t listed. Availability was a guess. Every detail, from her date and location to the look she wanted, took another message to work out.
When we started talking to makeup artists, we heard the same story from the other side. Artists are running two jobs at once: the craft, and the business behind it. Social media is great for showing their work, but DMs were never designed to be a booking system.
So we built Beau: one place where clients find the right artist with every detail up front, and artists book, manage, and grow their business on their own terms.

Co-founder & CEO
Aimen Khan is the co-founder and CEO of Beau, a beauty booking platform helping makeup artists manage and grow their businesses while making it easier for clients to discover and book the right artist. Before founding Beau, Aimen worked in product management at Facebook, where she built technology designed to solve real-world problems. She now brings that experience to the beauty industry, creating tools that help artists streamline bookings, payments, scheduling, and client communication, while giving clients a simpler and more transparent way to find and book trusted beauty professionals.
Vanessa Tang
Co-founder & COO
Vanessa is the co-founder and COO of Beau, where she uses data-driven strategy to shape how the platform grows, from partnerships with artists to personalized features that help clients discover artists. Before Beau, she worked in data and AI, building the systems behind personalization at scale and using data to guide business decisions. Now she applies that same analytical mindset to the beauty industry, helping artists run their businesses more efficiently and build stronger brands.
